The Friends of Living Plaza had our own holiday celebration December 28th on the plaza to reflect on this past year together and celebrate the coming new year. Even though it was absolutely freezing cold, we had food trucks, music, ceremonies by the Center for Spiritual Living and other Festivus festivities throughout the evening!
Similar to Festivus for the Rest of Us (from the Seinfeld episode in the 90s), we had a ceremonial “airing of grievances” – writing your grievances from the past year and throw it in the Bowl of Grievances, then letting it all go at the Airing Ceremony.
We also had our own Living Plaza twist on the Festivus “feats of strength” challenge, lifting our PAPAER MACHE DUMBELL – an epic struggle attempted by all.
We wrapped up the Festivus celebrating our unity in a circle of lights.
Here’s a clip of the Family Band playing on the plaza that afternoon. See photos at the Living Plaza Facebook page.
